Thrill seekers will love the nearby family-friendly treetop nets at Zip World Fforest, whilst mountain bike enthusiasts are well-catered for at the Marin Bike Trail in Penmachno. Climbing, paragliding, orienteering, horse riding and fishing may all be enjoyed in the local area. Don’t miss the famous Portmeirion Italianate Village, slate mines, fabulous beaches and the Electric Mountain Visitor Centre at Llanberis.
Nearby Llangollen offers horse-drawn boat rides on the canal, a good selection of craft shops and lively events all year round. The famous Ffestiniog Railway, just 11 miles, provides a spectacular journey through mountains and forests to the coast, while the Victorian seaside resort of Llandudno and the historic walled town of Conwy is just 30 minutes’ drive.
