Experience - The Area
Rock Mill and Cider Press are only 10 minutes from the sea and 2 miles from the Eden Project, set in 3.5 acres of riverside garden and woodland, this 400 year old mill, log cabin and original cider press are peacefully situated in the quintessentially Cornish Luxulyan Valley (no mobile phone signal) with great natural beauty and awarded World Heritage Site status.
Each property has its own secluded terrace and gardens running down to the banks of the boulder-strewn River Par which forms a boundary between the properties, close to a little-use railway branch line. Due to the proximity of the river, local wildlife and natural water features within the grounds young children and pets must be supervised at all times.
Luxulyan village and St Blazey, 1.5 miles respectively, each have a pub and local shop/P.O, for a wider selection of amenities, the towns of Lostwithiel, Fowey and St Austell are all within a 15 minute drive. The large, south facing beach at Par Sands and the small sandy harbour beach at Polkerris are both a 10 minute drive away and there are boat trips available departing from Fowey. There are several golf courses within the immediate vicinity and the Saints Way coast-to-coast recreational route passes nearby.
