Chapel End Cottage
Leyburn 2 miles. Just a stone's throw from the bustling market town of Leyburn in Bellerby, is this North Yorkshire cottage offering a gateway to the Yorkshire Dales. Chapel End Cottage is a perfect choice for a family or group of six who enjoy an outdoor adventure with a beautiful home from home to return to each day. Spend snug evenings settled in the contemporary sitting room with beautiful cohesive decor, and a traditional touch with the woodburning stove, so you can feel toasty warm as you relax on one of the stylish sofas. Move through the property, past the neatly placed cloakroom, and into the stunning kitchen, with a modern finish the kitchen is home to all of the excellent appliances; cook up a delicious dish on the gas hob with ingredients stored in the large fridge/freezer, while a washing machine and dishwasher rest in here too. Gather in the dining room for an evening of great food and drink, sharing plans and ideas for the rest of your trip and remembering old ones too, surrounded by muted tones and pretty art on the walls. Head upstairs to discover the bedrooms, beginning with the wonderful master bedroom, home to a double bed, sophisticated furnishings and an en-suite shower room. A delightful twin bedroom lies just down the hall, followed by a double bedroom, with these lovely sleeping spots served by the shared bathroom, which has a bath and a shower over. Step out into the enclosed garden on a summer's eve and enjoy a drink as you listen to the stream at the bottom of the garden run by whilst the dog stretches their legs on the lawn. Begin exploring the Yorkshire Dales by visiting the Wensleydale Creamery, a perfect stop for cheese-lovers where you can see this delicious export being made and enjoy a slice or two as well! Afterwards head north to discover a magnificent natural wonder in Hardraw Force, a 100-foot, single-drop waterfall, said to be the highest in England, while Aysgarth Falls, another amazing waterfall, can be found back towards Leyburn, with both sites perfect for incorporating into a walking route. Closer to Chapel End Cottage is Middleham Castle, an imposing 12th century castle where Richard III spent his childhood, as well as Bolton Castle completed back in 1399, perfect for history lovers!
