Newport beach is 5 miles away, perfect for long dog walks or to blow away the cobwebs, with great parking and a small shop it is the perfect place for a day by the sea. Brush up on the local history by spending some time at the historical landmark of Pentre Ifan Burial Chamber, or slightly further afield is the Castell Henllys Iron Age Fort which promises to be a superb day out for the whole family. For those feeling active, choose to walk the wild landscape of moorland and heath on the Preseli Mountains, where 360-degree panorama offers breath-taking views across the sea to Ireland and to Snowdonia.
