The National Nature Reserve at Ainsdale is an area to be thoroughly explored, with glorious wild and natural beauty abounded by rare, interesting plants which spring up a riot of colour in the summer months. There is plenty to do in Southport itself with the long pier, Lord Street and countless other attractions. Further afield are the vibrant cities of Liverpool, Manchester and Chester and the Lakes are just over an hour away by car. The area is renowned for its large selection of good golf courses. Nearby is the home of the red squirrel at Formby Nature Reserve. This charming property is the perfect base to stay with your loved ones and explore the North West of England.
