Boat House Lodge

We’ll provide some doggy treats for your arrival. There’s enough space for a crate, and there is an enclosed garden adjacent to the Lodge so your dog can enjoy a run around while you sit back and enjoy the scenery. There is also a large open lawn next to the river where the more active dogs can run around and play.

(Check out our Things to Do guide for more inspiration). A number of dog walking books are also included in the Lodge. The lanes around the Lodge are generally quiet, perfect for a morning or evening walk.
The nearest pub is only a gentle 20 - 30 minute walk away and is dog friendly in the bar area. We've been there with our dogs a number of times, had a meal, drink and a gentle stroll back.....perfect!

If you and the dogs get muddy on a walk, there is a bespoke dog washing and drying room in the garage beneath the Lodge. Towels are also provided.

We understand dogs sometimes like to hop up on the sofa, all we ask is that you use the throws provided in the Lodge to protect the furniture, and they’re not left alone in the Lodge, unless they’re in a crate.
