The main bedroom is on the top floor, and has plenty of space to relax in, as well as having beautiful beamed ceilings and fantastic views of Richmond Castle and beyond into Swaledale.
A short stroll away you will find the bustling market square where there is a regular farmers’ market and many cafés, bars and restaurant to choose from, as well as regular live music in the pubs. Take a stroll around the castle or wander down by the River Swale to Easby with its Abbey. Enjoy fishing at Brompton Lakes, just 3 miles away, where there are two coarse fishing lakes close to the banks of the River Swale. The area is also perfect for walkers and cyclists, with many woodland walks that pass right through the town and further beyond into the Yorkshire Dales.
Bargate has such an amazing location, whether its walking on the Pennine Way or visiting one of the many abbeys in the area, enjoying a day at the races in Catterick, Thirsk or York, or taking a trip to the Lake District - there really is so much to do. The Yorkshire Dales National Park is right on your doorstep and the North York Moors National Park is just a short drive away. There are numerous golf courses, natural scenery to savour and lots of outdoor activities to be enjoyed by all the family in the surrounding areas. Beach 27 miles.
