Just 500 yards from the heart of Charmouth and ½ mile from the beach is Badgers, a Grade II listed, and mostly thatched cottage. This beautiful cottage is surprisingly spacious, stylishly furnished and full of character. Enter via a large porch - ideal for kicking off sandy shoes, to the dining room. Two steps up and you're in a comfortable sitting room with a wood burning stove and glazed doors that lead to a raised decked area and look out over the garden. A second elegant living room has a little window seat and is a good spot for those seeking a little peace to sit and read quietly. The distinctive galley-style kitchen is small but perfectly formed and more than ample to cater for a busy family. Steep narrow stairs lead to three very pretty bedrooms – a large king size double, a double with a view of the garden, and a family room with one single bed and a stacker beds. On the landing is a huge walk-in wardrobe and a large family bathroom. Outside, the enclosed suntrap cottage garden is tranquil, and just waiting to be discovered, with steps, gravel paths, pretty borders, fruit trees and an elevated decked area with a table and chairs and distant views to Stonebarrow Hill and the sea. The old coastal village of Charmouth has interesting shops and a handful of pubs, with a long sandy/pebble beach backed by ‘Jurassic Coast’ cliffs - famous for fossils. The renowned town of Lyme Regis with its historic 'Cobb' is just two miles away or in the bustling market town of Axminster foodies can visit Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall’s café - River Cottage Canteen. Badgers is a charming, individual coastal cottage, and a fabulous home in which to relax, unwind and enjoy the ‛Jurassic Coast’.
