This stylish detached house is situated 250 yards from the beach in Bigbury-on-Sea. With cool coastal blue and sandy colours and fantastic sea views, it is exceptional coastal accommodation for a family or adults at any time of year. From the hall, head into the light kitchen which is the sociable hub of the house with its dining area and French windows to throw open to the sunny terrace. On this ground level you have three of the bedrooms, one which is en suite and another where you can wander out to the garden. Stairs take you up to the sitting room with its corner leather sofas arranged to display the amazing views out to sea, and if you stand in the big window you can use the telescope to get a closer look at life on the beach and Burgh Island, or marine wildlife if you are lucky. The en suite master bedroom is up on this floor too. At the front of the house, stretch out or enjoy outdoor meals on the sun terrace or take a good book into the enclosed lawned garden to the rear and flop into the hammock. A shed is provided for your surfboards and beach gear, a must in this lovely seaside location where the big stretch of sand invites you to build sandcastles and ride the excellent waves. If you need a little help, the popular surf school will help or hire out equipment. For walkers, the South West Coast Path is perfect, miles of scenic cliff top footpath to explore, or if you are less energetic, enjoy a stroll across the beach to iconic Burgh Island which inspired some of Agatha Christie’s tales. The golf course will challenge all abilities when the sea breeze blows. Kingsbridge and Salcombe satisfy all shoppers, full of fascinating little stores to browse. With all this on your doorstep, as well as one of the loveliest beaches, Aburghley is a truly stunning destination.
