This traditional style cottage resides in the lovely village of Stanton-by-Dale in Derbyshire. With an attractive brick exterior and a lawned garden enclosed at the front, guests can enjoy both inside and out. Hosting three well-presented bedrooms on the first floor, and an interior oozing rural charm from head-to-toe, this cottage is perfect for families and couples seeking a quiet break in an ideal location. Arriving into the kitchen, you will receive a warm welcome from the country-style setup, presented with wooden base and wall units and neutral coloured tiles. The sitting room is elevated by original beams, and the fireplace displays an eye-catching design on the far wall. Gather together in front of the TV and get cosy for the evening, or perhaps play one of the many games provided. Step out into the garden, breathe the fresh air and let the dog out for a run around with the kids. Bordered by plants and shrubs, this is the ideal spot for picnics and relaxing on the lawn. This small histroric village dates back to medieval times and has the benefit of two watering holes to choose from and a lovely café/shop in the old school house just a 5 minute walk from the property. This cottage is also a must for the walkers with several walks available straight from the front door. There is a playground just up the lane from the house, this is where you start the Stanton-by-Dale walk. The route takes you through fields and along farm lanes, before reaching Dale Road and the charming village of Dale Abbey where you can visit the abbey remains and the old hermitage hidden in the woods; a site to behold when the bluebells are in full bloom. Nearby you have the cities of Nottingham and Derby, both hosting a wealth of culture and history awaiting your discovery. Dine at Michelin star restaurants, indulge in the shops and even see live performances at one of many venues. For further walking opportunities, the Peak District is easily reached by car. A lovely location to choose for your holiday.
