Our beautiful Cottage near the coast. Close to Thorpness, Aldeburgh, Snape Maltings and RSPB Minsmere, not to mention Southwold and Dunwich. Knodishall Common is literally across the road for dog walking if you don't want to drive and there is a dog friendly pub 150m away

We have renovated our 2 bed cottage to turn it into our own happy place for us and Hector the bulldog and are happy to share it with our guests wanting to get away. Both the front and back gardens are enclosed with the back done as a courtyard style, paved with a seating area and in summer a bbq available. The bathroom has both a bath and shower. The two bedrooms on the first floor have been decorated to a good standard with soft furnishings to match. Both have double beds. For those chilly nights the lounge has a wood burner which we leave logs for, although the cottage also has full central heating. There is a TV with Netflix and WiFi is included Kitchen has cooker, microwave, dishwasher, coffee machine etc and there is always tea, coffee and sugar in the pots! There are two dog beds on site, although feel free to bring your own. The beach at Thorpeness with its house in the clouds is 3 miles away and can be walked to by crossing 2 roads but otherwise on paths.

A birthday treat. We took a trip to visit family and tied in celebrating our pup’s first birthday. A late booking to visit a new baby over the Easter weekend. Despite the short prep time, we arrived to a spick and span home that was clean and fresh. The dog bowls were so nicely laid out, a lovely welcome was provided along with fresh milk to help us settle in with a nice cuppa on arrival. The doggy bag jar was a nice touch. The back garden is a small well decorated patio and the front garden had paths amongst nice informal flower beds. The common is directly across the road and I think our dog through she was in doggy holiday heaven. A standard two up, 2 down cottage but presently beautifully as a warm and cosy home away from home. The location was great for accessing lots of the sights Suffolk had on offer. Thank you Tim for being such a considerate host and we would happily stay here time and time again.

Thank you so much for the welcome to your lovely cottage. We had a fantastic time visiting family and exploring the surrounding area. Our pup also had the best birthday for she loved running across the common and her first experiences of a beach. Our stay was very comfortable and the entire family had everything we needed.

A perfect home from home stay at Lavender Cottage. A cosy and beautifully styled and decorated cottage. Luxurious bedding and mattress, super soft towels with every creature comfort catered for. Spotlessly clean and the wood burner in the evenings was the icing on the cake. Doggy treats, bowls, beds all provided. Located on the common and a friendly pub less than 5 mins walk away. I hope to stay again. Thank you Tim & Dee.
