A birthday treat. We took a trip to visit family and tied in celebrating our pup’s first birthday. A late booking to visit a new baby over the Easter weekend. Despite the short prep time, we arrived to a spick and span home that was clean and fresh. The dog bowls were so nicely laid out, a lovely welcome was provided along with fresh milk to help us settle in with a nice cuppa on arrival. The doggy bag jar was a nice touch. The back garden is a small well decorated patio and the front garden had paths amongst nice informal flower beds. The common is directly across the road and I think our dog through she was in doggy holiday heaven. A standard two up, 2 down cottage but presently beautifully as a warm and cosy home away from home. The location was great for accessing lots of the sights Suffolk had on offer. Thank you Tim for being such a considerate host and we would happily stay here time and time again.

Hello Tim,

Thank you so much for the welcome to your lovely cottage. We had a fantastic time visiting family and exploring the surrounding area. Our pup also had the best birthday for she loved running across the common and her first experiences of a beach. Our stay was very comfortable and the entire family had everything we needed.

Kindest Regards

Rhonda

A perfect home from home stay at Lavender Cottage. A cosy and beautifully styled and decorated cottage. Luxurious bedding and mattress, super soft towels with every creature comfort catered for. Spotlessly clean and the wood burner in the evenings was the icing on the cake. Doggy treats, bowls, beds all provided. Located on the common and a friendly pub less than 5 mins walk away. I hope to stay again. Thank you Tim & Dee.

We had a wonderful time at Lavender Cottage. Beautifully decorated and maintained, with so many lovely touches - bottle of wine, milk and biscuits were a great welcome after our journey. So well provisioned for the four-legged ones - food and water bowls, tin of treats, even a lead and bed.

Human beds very comfortable with luxurious bedding.

Unusually cold weather, so the log-burner and supplied wood were perfect. The Cottage was cozy, clean and stylish, and absolutely ticked all our boxes. Thorpeness only 5 mins away and Aldeburgh 10 mins.

Reluctantly posting review as I imagine it'll only increase bookings, but lovely owners thoroughly deserve recognition and feedback for the beautiful home-away-from-home they've created for their guests.

Our best Suffolk stay yet. Lavender Cottage was a home from home for a week, we really did not want to leave. This cute and cosy little cottage is perfect. It was immaculate. Dog friendly accommodation is so important to us, there were dog bowls and even little doggie treats!

The owner has done an amazing renovation. The rope bannister is awesome. The little touches made a difference like the biscuits, wine and OJ in the fridge. There’s a great space to work from in the lounge which made the stay easier.

The kitchen is lovely and very well equipped. The gardens are great for sitting in the sun. Really liked the bathroom too. The bedrooms are beautifully decorated and so cosy, they’re great sizes. The bed was very comfortable. There’s really not one negative thing to say. Location is also great. Dog walks on your doorstep.

We hope to stay in LC again before we move up!

What a find! We could not fault this super little place. It’s all very tasteful. The common we a godsend for Teddy our 20 mths old lab. Stairs a bit steep but you do get used to them. Shower super, soft water.. with the snow outside Stuart was happy keeping the wood burner alight. Certainly recommend this lovely well kept home.
