Nestled in the North Dorset countryside in easy striking distance of lovely places to visit, you can decide whether to go out or relax onsite watching the birdlife on the lake, paddling in the stream, or walking the meadow. Situated in the Cranbourne Chase Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, which is a International Dark Sky Reserve, with dark nights and starry skies. Torches are a must! Camping on the Ridge (​Campervan or tents) ​There are two pitches on the Ridge which have a birds eye view of the water meadow and lake, often with fantastic aerial displays from the local bird life. You'll catch the last rays of the day up on the Ridge. Each pitch has it's own water supply, picnic table and fire pit The Water Meadow (Tents & one campervan pitch) Enclosed in the valley bottom, the Water Meadow is surrounded by mature trees with a one acre lake close to a crystal clear chalk stream. Pitches are mown into the meadow and are generous in size. There is one campervan accessible pitch, and just 4 camping pitches set in 4 acres of meadow so space and privacy is aplenty. You can walk out of the door into National Trust land, or visit many dog friendly places nearby. Shaftesbury is a really dog friendly town with dogs welcome in most shops, cafes and restaurants. You are in driving distance of the Dorset coast with many dog friendly beaches to enjoy.
