Located in the heart of the Peak District, just 20 minutes’ drive from both Buxton and Bakewell, Longnor Wood makes an ideal base for exploring Derbyshire and beyond. In a rural location, with tremendous view from its dog walk, this peaceful site is a member of Tranquil Parks and operates a quiet site policy after 10.30pm. Longnor Wood is open all year between start February and start January. A dog friendly Peak District campsite, Longnor Wood welcomes dogs on its hardstanding tent and touring pitches, all with electric and many also serviced for water and grey waste. Fire pits and BBQs for hire. The site also welcomes dogs in its pet friendly en-suite glamping pod and dog friendly holiday lodges with hot tubs and static caravans with hot tubs. The accommodation has been beautifully modelled on a bespoke basis to provide luxury and convenience for 2 adults and there are also 2-bedroom holiday lodges with hot tubs for those wanting to travel with friends and family. Our lodges have secure decking and dog welcome packs. At the entrance to the site are a spectacular dog exercise field and gorgeous dog walk with wildflowers with amazing views from which to enjoy the Peak District sunsets. Guests can also enjoy the adjoining Longnor Wood to walk their four-legged friends and there are plenty of dog walks on the Peak District hills and trails close by. There are a wide variety of Peak District pubs serving great food and real ales within a short drive of this Derbyshire campsite. On site is a hot and cold water dog wash for convenience. On site is an Information Room and a small, licensed shop selling essentials, Chatsworth gin and real ales and local produce including cheese. EV charging station on site. 5-star amenity block with free hot showers. Laundry and under cover dishwashing area with vending machines, microwave, kettle and freezer for ice packs. Free WiFi. As well as walking and cycling the Peak District is blessed with many attractions including Chatsworth House, Haddon Hall, Pooles Cavern and Buxton Country Park, Heights of Abraham and the Castleton caves, all within an easy and scenic drive of the site. The Tissington Trail and High Peak Trail are also a short drive and ideal for cycling. The spa town of Buxton and market towns of Bakewell and Matlock are all just 20 minutes away. The village of Longnor is 2 miles from the site and has a shop, café and fish and chip shop.

we have been going for years and they started doing dog friendly lodges,and after a long days walk there is a dog shower to clean them up..and a big enclosed dog field...great park ...
