The business was created to help dogs and their owners thrive through practical, individualised support that considers the whole dog—not simply the behaviour being displayed.
Offering one-to-one training, group classes, canine behaviour support and nutrition consultations, Train & Nourish provides owners with the knowledge, confidence and tools they need to build a stronger relationship with their dog. Every service is tailored to the individual, recognising that factors such as breed, health, diet, environment, lifestyle and previous experiences can all influence a dog’s behaviour and wellbeing.
Em has extensive experience with a wide variety of breeds and has a particular understanding of working breeds living in pet homes. Her approach gives these dogs appropriate outlets for their natural instincts while helping owners manage the challenges that can arise when their physical, mental and emotional needs are not fully understood. As the first qualified Scurry Dog Instructor, Em also brings creative and engaging activities into her training, making learning enjoyable and rewarding for both dogs and their owners.
Alongside her work with clients, Em has spent more than five years supporting rescue organisations and helping dogs with behavioural and nutritional challenges. She continues to invest heavily in her professional development and holds qualifications across dog training, canine behaviour, gundog training, scent work, recall, family dog mediation and canine health. She is also expanding her expertise through advanced study in canine behaviour and nutrition.
At the heart of Train & Nourish is a compassionate, evidence-informed and non-judgemental approach. Em understands that asking for help with a dog can feel overwhelming, so she creates a supportive environment in which owners feel listened to rather than blamed. By looking beyond quick fixes and addressing the reasons behind a dog’s behaviour, Train & Nourish delivers realistic, sustainable guidance that improves everyday life for the whole family.
