Chihuahua School

Chihuahua Power is based in lovely Dorset in the UK, but we operate online and support Chihuahua owners all over the world. We provide specialist, force-free training and behaviour support for owners who feel frustrated, overwhelmed or restricted by their Chihuahua’s behaviour. We help them understand what is driving challenges such as barking, reactivity, fear, anxiety, low confidence and difficulty coping with everyday life. Chihuahuas remain one of the most frequently surrendered dog breeds, with behaviour problems continuing to be a significant factor. Our aim is to help owners get their Chihuahua puppy off to the best possible start, rehabilitate adult dogs who are struggling and support those welcoming a rescued or re-homed Chihuahua into their family. Through accessible online courses, group coaching, workshops and a supportive community, owners learn practical training strategies that work with their Chihuahua’s emotions rather than simply trying to suppress the behaviour. Our approach focuses on building calmness, confidence, resilience and essential life skills while strengthening the relationship between dog and owner. We also provide puppy education, nutrition guidance and ongoing support to help prevent difficulties from developing. Ultimately, we want fewer Chihuahuas to be misunderstood or surrendered and more of them to enjoy happy, confident and fulfilled lives with owners who understand them.
