Pooles Cavern & Cafe We are now excited to welcome dogs onto our cavern tours, as well as in our cafe! Poole's Cavern is a family friendly, dog friendly, all weather, accessible experience. Book a tour and be taken through this ancient natural limestone cavern, found on the outskirts of the historic Spa town of Buxton in the High Peak of Derbyshire. Enthusiastic guides will take you on a journey beneath the earth where you can marvel at the beautifully illuminated rock sculpted galleries. Explore the vast limestone caverns and see how crystal Stalactites and Stalagmites have lined the chambers over millions of years. Combine your cavern visit with a walk through our woodland Country Park to Grin Low viewpoint, lunch at the cavern cafe or time to explore the town of Buxton Spa. Cavern tours are led by a guide at all times. Our Café has a range of hot food and snacks, warm and cold beverages. If you’ve worked up a thirst exploring the Woodlands, Cavern or Go Ape Forest adventure course then this is the place to replenish. Our menu contains locally produced ingredients. Freshly ground fair-trade coffee and gorgeous homemade soups and cakes with vegetarian and gluten free options. We even have a dedicated photo board for all of the delightful pooches that have visited us over the years! We can cater for groups of up to 30 and our separate learning and conference room is perfect for meetings in beautiful surroundings. It’s completely FREE to pick up your emails, share with friends, upload your images all from our purple WiFi hotspot. We want to make your visit as convenient as possible. We’ve installed WiFi access so you can catch up and share your location with your friends!
