The White Horse Inn is situated on the north Norfolk coast in Brancaster Staith. Its

large carpark runs down to the coastal path and looks out over the salt marsh

which is full of wildlife. Fantastic for walkers, cyclists, dogs and other outdoor

pursuits.

We have stayed at this lovely place numerous times over several years,

sometimes twice year, and is a firm favourite whatever the weather or season,

there is something for everyone.

This Christmas was the first time we had stayed with our beautiful cockapoo pup

and knowing the place so well, we knew we would not be disappointed. Waiting for

us in our room was a lovely complimentary hamper and basket and for Willow a

new blanket and some treats, what a lovely way to start our holiday.

It’s award winning restaurant with menus created by Fran the head chef, are

served in the beautiful conservatory restaurant which gives fantastic views over

the salt marsh, the restaurant gets very busy so booking is essential. Dogs are

very welcome in the bar and on the outside terrace, there they provide blankets

for cooler evenings for human visitors and you can watch the fabulous sunsets as

you sip your G&T or a pint in a very relaxing atmosphere.

The garden rooms, which we prefer, welcome dogs. Their spacious rooms give you

all the comforts you and your dog could need, and are as warm as you want them

to be, with heating controls on the radiators. The bathroom is roomy and is well

appointed. In the room there is space for your dogs bed without feeling cramped

or on top of each other, a kettle, with tea, coffee and biscuits along with an

expresso coffee machine are also included as is a television and comfortable

seating. An umbrella is provided in case of inclement weather when going for

meals and a place to hang your coats after a long walk along the coastal path, you

can sit outside your room where there is a small terraced area with a table and

two chairs. These are very comfortable, clean and quiet rooms.

More importantly The staff are very welcoming and our willow soon realised that

each member of staff that came by stopped to rub her head and give her a treat,

needless to say she loved it.
