The Queen's Head

(2 reviews)

They go out of the way to welcome you and your dog. Even the kitchen staff come out to meet your dog and the atmosphere is amazing. The manageress is fantastic with the dogs and ensures everyone is made to feel comfortable and welcome

The Queen’s Head is a fantastic pub which not only allows dogs but welcomes them with open arms - literally!!

There is a large bar, two dining areas and an outside patio which dogs are welcomed into (with treats and water from the staff!). There is also a separate dining area for the crazy fools who dont like dogs..!

They have an excellent menu with the best food ive ever had in a pub/brasserie, a large range of drinks including non-alco beers and even gluten free beer!!

All the staff are so very friendly, the Manageress always comes to say hello to my dog and brings staff over to meet him! I went by chance as I passed it on a walk with my dog, and kept going back - not just for the food and drink but for the way they treat my dog; he’s my little buddy and I couldnt ask for a nicer welcome, neither could my dog!!

Highly recommended - try it once and I guarantee youll be back!

The first time I took my dog there I was bowled over by how welcoming and friendly the staff were....to my dog!!

I think the entire compliment of staff have met my dog note and everyone is always so happy to see him! The manageress even got her crisp white shirt muddied by his paws and she thought it was great!!

For a place such as The Queen’s Head - fine food, excellent bar - you just don’t expect them to be SO dog friendly, but they are!

They have a large bar and dining area where people with dogs can eat and drink, and another dining area for those freaks who don’t like dogs..! They’ve also got a nice patio area outside.

The food and drink is the best in any pub I’ve ever been to (and I’ve been to a few!), but what really keeps me coming back is how they treat my dog; my dog is my little buddy, anyone who is so kind to him as they are deserves all the plaudits and more!

5 stars for The Queen’s Head and all who work there!
