The Moon & Mushroom is an award-winning public house established in the 16th century!
We are a warm & welcoming (dog friendly) pub and café with outside seating & heated patio garden for the finer weather and a cosy interior with log burning stove for the winter months. We're only yards from a community playground, popular dog walking routes and tourist hotspots - we have free parking too!

We recently stopped by The Moon and Mushroom while on holiday in Suffolk. They were super welcoming to our whole family, especially our Golden Labrador, Paddy. The waitress gave Paddy a treat straight from a big glass jar behind the bar, which was a really nice touch.
The food was spot on and just what we wanted after a long day walking at the nearby Aldeburgh beach. The kids loved the juicy burger and chips, and I honestly couldn’t get enough of the chicken teriyaki noodles. For dessert we had a decadent salted caramel brownie. It was honestly one of the best desserts I’ve ever tried. The waitress even set up a water bowl for Paddy, which I found really thoughtful.
If you’re around and want a dog-friendly pub with good food, please do check out The Moon and Mushroom. We’re definitely coming back when we’re next in Suffolk!
