Opened in February 2019, The Honest John Bar & Coffee Tavern has quickly established itself as “the place to be” in Todmorden boasting many original features of the buildings previous life as a local bank. With a relaxed atmosphere, welcoming staff and no loud music or TV’s, this is the place to meet, chat and relax. Dogs are more than welcome and will be greeted with fuss and homemade doggie treats. A separate lounge area has a homely feel and is available to reserve for small groups and meetings. Located in the centre of Todmorden, just 100 yards from the train station and a couple of minutes’ walk from Todmorden market and bus station, we are ideally located for locals and visitors alike. We offer Real Ales, Draught Beers, Lagers & Ciders along with a wide choice of soft and non-alcoholic drinks including Heineken 0% on draught. Our Gin menu includes almost 40 Gins and 11 Tonics/Mixers and complements our extensive wine and cocktail menus. Our food offering is simple but delicious. A small breakfast menu is available until midday followed by a range of snacks and sharing platters, available until 9pm daily (5pm Fridays & Saturdays.) A choice of Homemade Cakes complement our freshly ground coffee and loose leaf teas. Pre-bookable Afternoon Teas are served on Tuesdays and Thursdays and are very popular so book early!
