Read MoreSituated within the grounds of Fort Amherst, Britain's largest and best preserved Napoleonic fortification, The Pantry opened in 2019 and aims to serve not only the local community but also the visitors to the Fort and its grounds. With access to the Great Lines Heritage Park and Chatham Naval Memorial there is plenty to see and do. The cafe is only a short walk away from Chatham's bus and train stations and with a large, free (for visitors and customers) car park. Also within walking distance are The Historic Dockyard Chatham and The Royal Engineers Museum or slighty further away, the charming high street, castle and cathedral in Rochester.
Within the cafe you'l find water bowls, menu options, beds and blankets. Dogs are welcome inside, but if you'd rather there is ample outdoor seating.
