Lucky Days 1
Dog Friendly Cafe
Rosie, December 2019
It was a busy lunchtime with a short wait for a table but that was to be expected given that York Christmas Market was right outside the door.
I was offered water to fill my dogs bowl and staff were happy for me to secure the dogs leads around table & chair leg whilst I went upstairs to the WC. It simply wasn't practical to take them past all the busy tables and up the flight of stairs, so as a solo traveller having permission to leave them secured in this way was appreciated.
There was a wide range of sandwiches and paninis on the menu accompanied with green leaves and a choice of 3 other side salads from a selection of 6 different ones. Despite the café being full it didn't take long for my panini and salad selection to arrive. It filled a large dinner plate and tasted good.
Besides this café on Church Street LUCKY DAYS also has one close by on Parliament Street where dogs were definitely very welcome. I saw at least 4 other canines inside with their owners in less than an hour.
