Genuinely dog-friendly, not just dog-tolerant.
They provide beds, bowls and there are very few restrictions on the dogs so it is an easy and welcoming place to stay, in a great location. The hotel itself is very nice too - good food, nice range of drinks and great breakfast.

Lovely hotel in a great location and super dog-friendly.
We stayed here for a night with our two dogs (Toller and Collie) while visiting family in Exeter and were very impressed. The hotel provided dog beds and a water bowl in the room and were very accommodating to them. All the staff are very comfortable with the dogs and clearly used to dealing with them (and being barked at now and then). They were welcome in the bar and parts of the restaurant, which are nicely spaced out so the dogs don't get in the way.
The location is great with some walks from the village as well as all the other great walks and places to visit on Dartmoor.
