Read MoreEnjoy a warm welcome at The Old Station, an AA 4 star rated B&B, a superbly restored 1847 former railway station set in large grounds only 8 minutes from Shrewsbury town centre. Beautiful views across the Shropshire countryside on one side and the village cricket ground on the other. The 6 en-suite and 1 with private bath spacious bedrooms (one on ground floor with en-suite wetroom and step free access suitable for wheelchair users) feature beautiful 19th century antique beds and fine furnishings. Flat screen TV's and tea/coffee making facilities in every bedroom. Delicious breakfasts and evening meals are made to order with local produce wherever possible, served on Minton china. Half board available. Children welcome. Walkers and cyclists welcome, undercover storage for bicycles. Well behaved dogs welcome, max 2 dogs per room, only £5 each per stay not per night. Free use of kennel with run, please book beforehand. Free off road parking. On a bus route between Shrewsbury and Oswestry. Off road footpath to Bomere Heath village where there is a mini supermarket and pub. Free WiFi.
