The Lion Art Hotel and Restaurant

Its restored Jacobean exterior conceals a visually lavish, welcoming environment, where mirrored artworks by sculptor Andrew Logan and vibrant colour schemes complement the rustic 17th century architecture with a modern, metropolitan flourish. Each room is a feast for the eyes, but the Lion Hotel also caters exceptionally well to the palate, whether you’re looking for afternoon tea or dinner in our Blue Restaurant or Red Room, or just a quiet drink from our well-appointed lounge bar. Upstairs the fusion of historic charm and contemporary art continues in our 7 themed, en-suite hotel rooms, each decorated with artworks by Andrew. The marriage of art and original wood features is possibly best appreciated while relaxing on our very comfortable beds! For your furrier family members, we have three designated dog friendly rooms. Nearby are plenty of walking opportunities, perfect for long days out exploring. Whilst unfortunately we do not allow dogs into our restaurant, we have a warm and inviting bistro area and bar where you can dine with your dogs morning, lunch and dinner. All good boys and girls get their own sausage breakfast and will be well looked after and doted on by our team of dog loving staff.
