We are a gorgeous dog friendly country pub nestled at the foot of the South Downs National Park in Sussex. Our four bedrooms upstairs are also very dog friendly. With an abundance of walks on our doorstep and a beautiful large garden we are the perfect spot to bring your dog to whilst you enjoy a peaceful relaxing stay with excellent food on site.
Read MoreThe Jolly Sportsman is a hidden gem 💎 in the heart of Sussex. The bar is full of locals who love dogs and there are treats for dogs on the bar. The pub has a stunning large garden with beautiful views of the rolling countryside. There is a local meadow opposite which is completely enclosed and the perfect spot to let your dog run free off the lead. There are also numerous footpaths around that will take you and your pup on the most beautiful of walks - all at the foot of the South Downs Way - the views are gorgeous.
Upstairs the pub has four comfortable dog friendly rooms. A small charge is added on to allow for extra cleaning after wards. We offer a doggy box in the lobby area with towels, blankets, bowl, and doggy shampoo. And each dog gets its own doggy goodie bag with treats, a ball and poo bags.
We have a resident 18 month old pub dog called Roman who is a black lab and loves meeting new friends :)
