Here is the full review from October Willis:
The bar, lounge and dining areas are a pleasing blend of warm woods and comfortable seating serving food that looks fantastic and tastes every bit as good. The bedrooms are light and roomy with high-quality bathrooms stocked with locally sourced aromatherapy products, perfect for a soak in the bath after a long countryside walk, and not forgetting your dog they provide a bed and water and food bowls for them in the room as well as a box full of treats and posh food.
Letcombe Regis is a small village full of thatched cottages and period properties. It’s a great base from which to explore the many walks the county of Oxfordshire has to offer.
The Valley of the White Horse near Uffington, the figure of a horse is cut out of the turf revealing the white chalky soil beneath, this famous landmark spans over 100 metres and can be seen for miles around. Just before you reach the giant carving is a steep gully called the Manger to the West on which stands Dragon Hill, which is said to be the site where St George slew the Dragon.
Ashdown House Estate is a 17th century house close to Lambourn which is famous for its racehorse training and the Lambourn Downs forming part of the North Wessex Downs and are an Area of Outstanding Beauty, covering 231 square miles you won’t be short of places to walk your dog.
The Greyhound is a real gem that offers lovely accommodation, wonderful food and friendly staff, its quiet location and beautiful surroundings make for the perfect escape.
