We are a welsh drovers inn dating back to the 17th century.
We welcome dogs in our characterful bars. We also have some dog-friendly bedrooms with direct access to our large gardens at the rear of the hotel.
Under new ownership since 2010 Y Talbot has undergone an extensive programme of renovation. We have aimed to retain the character and ambience of this well known and historic inn but at the same time to provide the best of modern comforts for our guests.
Y Talbot employs local, largely Welsh speaking staff who will give you a warm “croeso”.
Y Talbot is very much at the heart of its community. We hope that you will enjoy the bustling but relaxed and friendly atmosphere of this country inn.
We have 3 bars, a restaurant, function room and 13 bedrooms.
We aim to provide high quality food at a reasonable price and you can eat in our pub or restaurant from a single menu. Dafydd Watkin our Head Chef is passionate about cooking fresh locally sourced food, and he is very good at it! Please see our menu further on.
You may also wish to enjoy our range of Welsh cask ales and ciders, selected wines or teas, coffees and cakes.
To many of our guests the glories of the Teifi valley and the empty Cambrian Mountains come as a real surprise; we are definitely off the beaten track and that’s why many of our guests come back time and again.
