In a stunning location in the Shropshire/Welsh hills, midway between Shrewsbury and Chester, this silver-stone rectory is now a stylish country house hotel. In five acres of grounds with no passing traffic, the location is ideal for pets and their owners. Pets stay free. Pen-y-Dyffryn combines unobtrusive hospitality with high standards of service, guaranteeing that "away from it all” feeling. Some bedrooms have en-suite Jacuzzis, others have private patios, perfect for keeping an eye on your pet while you relaxing in your bedroom.
The star of the piece, however, is the hotel's peaceful, hillside setting, with superb walking on the doorstep. There is a 100 acre woodland, entirely open to the public, immediately adjacent the hotel.
Several National Trust gardens nearby, as is Wales highest waterfall, Lake Vyrnwy, Shrewsbury and Chester.

Have stayed there twice now with our little Westie and my daughter and son in law. ( Barlow ) really enjoyed our time there so much. Lovely walks with Angus plus beautiful gardens and delicious meals for us. Lovely staff and service, would definitely recommend

We were greeted warmly on our arrival with tea and scones. The coach house is where doggy guests stay, and it has the added bonus of a stable door, the room was very light and airy. Dogs can stay in the public spaces in the hotel until 6pm. Take a walk to Pistyll Rhaeadr Waterfall its 80m in height, the dogs loved it.
