Grant Arms Hotel

The Grant Arms Hotel has changed a lot since Queen Victoria stayed here in 1860. Built in 1765 during the reign of King George III and situated in the Cairngorms National Park in Grantown on Spey, the Grant Arms Hotel is a traditional Scottish building, tastefully refurbished to provide thoroughly modern standards of comfort.

The Grant Arms Hotel offers 50 en-suite bedrooms all with tea and coffee making facilities, toiletries, hair dryer, colour TV, direct dial phone and free WiFi. There are two Four Poster Rooms (one of which is Queen Victoria’s), Twin, Double, Single or Family Rooms and also three enabled rooms for disabled guests. All facilities in the Grant Arms Hotel are wheelchair accessible.

Anyone staying at the Hotel is welcome to use the BWWC (Bird Watching and Wildlife Club, www.bwwc.co.uk) facilities and join in the free events organized by the BWWC Team during their stay. These include daily Wildlife Briefings, Wildlife Film screenings, Talks, Quizzes and Guided Walks. Anagach Woods – which covers nearly a thousand acres and is just a five minute walk from the Hotel.

Dogs are very welcome at the Grant Arms Hotel. Many of the staff here have dogs of their own and we try to ensure you and your dog have a wonderful stay with us. In the Hotel: Your dog is welcome to come in the Capercaillie Bar, the Reception Area and the BWWC facilities with you, however, we do ask that they do not accompany you into the Restaurant.

Leading off the Club Room is a fully enclosed garden. You are welcome to exercise your dog(s) here and toilet them.

On arrival you will receive a ‘Dog Welcome Pack’ with information on ‘Out and About’, the ‘Scottish Outdoor Access Code’, ‘Local Walks’ and ‘Useful Contacts’.

Your dog(s) (up to 2 dogs) can stay with us for £20 per stay.
