Foyers Bay Country House

Situated mid-way between Inverness and Fort Augustus on the picturesque south side of Loch Ness, Scotland, is the village of Foyers. An area with vast woodlands which remains unspoilt and abundant with wildlife, and is steeped in the mystery and history of the world’s most enduring monster mystery – Nessie.

Foyers Bay Country House is owned and run by Chris and Elly Russell. Our little hotel offers you the chance to experience the best in Highland hospitality. It has been tastefully converted and refurbished to create a uniquely individual and comfortable guest house, which offers bed and breakfast and an evening meal with all the benefits associated with a small intimate homely environment. We also have a licenced bar, so you can taste a wee dram or two before bed.

The grounds are home to many wild animals and birds. During breakfast you will probably see some of our resident Red Squirrels getting their peanuts from the feeder, along with a large wild bird population of Coal Tits, Siskins, Robins, Blackbirds, Thrushes, Tree Creepers, Woodpeckers and a couple of Pheasants! After dinner if you come down to the conservatory, you might be lucky enough to see the Badger come and get her treats from the decking. An amazing encounter experienced by many of our guests!

Adjacent to the property are the famous “Falls of Foyers” which were the inspiration for a poem by Robert Burns. At 165 ft, it is the 4th highest waterfall in Scotland, it’s just a short walk through the forest right from our front gate.

You and your dog will love it here, they are allowed to join you in the dining room for breakfast and will get their own sausage (if they are allowed!).
