A Doggy Day out With A Difference
Read MoreBased in the stunning location of the Thursden Valley, Briercliffe, Burnley, the Charity usually welcomes thousands of visitors each year. Following the various lockdowns, funds from fundraising events and onsite trading have dramatically decreased. HAPPA is urging supporters to get behind the reopening and show their support by coming to see the resident horses and ponies, enjoy a lovely meal in The Café or shop at the new, larger, The Fussy Filly shop.
Visitors of all ages are sure to have a great day out at HAPPA, meeting all the resident horses and ponies, chatting to our dedicated team of professionals and completing fun onsite educational activities. Families can have a great time on the playground or just relax in a unique rural location. To top your visit off relax in the onsite Café where you can grab lunch, coffee and cake.
Our free ‘Facts with Fergus’ trail will keep everyone entertained, pick up an activity sheet at Reception and fill it in as you enjoy meeting Fergus and his Friends. There are extra learning activities along the route which require a QR Code Reader and these can be enjoyed by downloading a suitable app on your mobile device before visiting the site.
Completely DOD FRIENDLY your pup will enjoy walks around the paddocks, meeting the resident equines and enjoying a treat in the onsite café. Booking recommended through the website www.happa.org.uk

Fantastic dog friendly Cafe with lots of walks around the area
Simon Waterhouse, August 2022
A really dog friendly place, country walks, water bowls, cooling mats for hot days and free dog treats. My dog Benji loves to say hello to all the resident rescue horses and go for a walk on the public footpaths!
John Middleton, August 2022
HAPPA is a great place to visit, and The Cafe at Shores Hey Farm is highly recommended.
