This is a dog friendly National Trust property. It has been graded 2 paws in the 2024 National Trust Handbook. Chartwell is a country house near Westerham, Kent, in South East England. For over forty years it was the home of Sir Winston Churchill. He bought the property in September 1922 and lived there until shortly before his death in January 1965. Dogs on short leads welcome in garden and Lady Soames Room in café. Assistance dogs only in house, studio and shop.
