Inside, the owner has created a smart and warming retreat, ideal for friends or two couples. Be welcomed into the lovely sitting room with a plush sofa to sink into of an evening whilst you unwind in front of the warm woodburning stove. Walk through to the kitchen, which has been fitted to a high standard with all the necessary appliances so you can easily rustle up some delicious meals. Follow on through to the conservatory-come-dining-room and gather for an evening meal, or a hearty breakfast whilst planning the day's events. The property benefits from two double bedrooms, each housing their own wardrobe space, with the master also holding a chest of drawers and lovely bedside tables and lamps for some late night reading. Choose to spend those summer evenings in the rear garden area and dine alfresco whilst toasting to a superb holiday with a refreshing glass of champagne. Glaisdale is the nearest village with a shop and a Post Office as well as a local butcher, all within eay walking distance. There is also a pub, the Arncliffe Arms within a mile of the property popular with locals and walkers. Walk along the river from Glaisdale to Lealholm, passing the old water mill. The village of Grosmont is situated 2 miles away and is on the North York Moors Steam Railway. Connecting both Whitby and Pickering. A must for steam enthusiasts. There are local walks to Egton via Arncliffe Woods starting near Beggars Bridge, a local landmark. The nearby village of Lealholm gives access to a village shop for picking up those last-minute essentials, or The Board Inn and tea rooms if you fancy a spot of lunch or an evening meal out. Historic enthusiasts will delight in visiting the Museum of Victorian Science holding a range of demonstrations, even Dr Frankenstein's lab, something people of all ages will enjoy. Further afield is the bustling seaside town of Whitby, home to a number of tourist attractions, including the historic Whitby Abbey, which was the inspiration for Bram Stoker's Dracula, the Captain Cook Museum or challenge yourself to the 199 steps.
