Ty'n Y Benrhos

Tyn Y Benrhos is a traditional detached welsh stone farm house built around 1850 surrounded by nature and wildlife. Ty'n Y Benrhos offers complete peace and quite, it is the only house in its postcode but whilst being seclude the property is only 1k from the main A470. The market town of Dolgellau is only 10 mins away by car, with a great choice of bars, restaurants and shops. Inside the property the kitchen and combined dining room comes equipped with a tall fridge freezer, electric range cooker with twin ovens, grill and 6 ring hob. Microwave, kettle, toaster & 1.5 ceramic sinks with drainer. We provide washing up liquid and hand soap as well as tea towel, hand towel, oven glove plus tea, coffee, hot chocolate and sugar. There is also a solid fuel Rayburn that is used in the winter to heat the hot water and the central heating water in the house. The dining area has a solid wood drop leaf table and 4 dining chairs. The sitting room has 2 leather sofas for relaxing on. There is a fantastic log burning stove for cosy evenings and a smart TV for watch programmes on the free wifi. The downstairs bathroom has an electric shower over a cast iron bath, wc and sink. There is underfloor heating for added comfort after getting out of the bath. We supply soap for washing hands, bath mat and anti slip mat for the bath. The master bedroom has a king size bed with wardrobe, chest of drawers with 2 bedside tables and table lamps. There is also a comfy arm chair for admiring the views of Cadair Idris. There are also 2 smaller bedrooms both with original solid wood floorboards. The front bedroom has a single Z bed, wardrobe, chest of drawers and bedside table with table lamp. The rear bedroom has a single bed with a tall boy wardrobe and bedside table with lamp. We provide a set of 2 towels each for each guest and will be left upstairs for you to use. Outside there is a large enclosed area around the house with gardens for our guests and dogs to enjoy, with views down the valley and Cadair Idris. We provide our guests with outside seating and table as well as a BBQ stored in the metal shed at the side of the house. There is plenty of parking in the yard next to the house. If guests brink bicycles they can be stored in the lockable shed next to the house. There is a great deal to explore in the area, walks can be taken straight from the door into the Coed Y Brenin forest. Keep your eyes peeled for deer, badgers, hares, buzzards, jays, nut hatch, kingfishers, woodpeckers, weasels and if you are very lucky a pine martin. If you are looking for an adrenalin rush zipworld & go-below offer a number of exciting activities. Antur stiniog offers downhill mountain biking with an uplift service. We are perfectly located for a cycling holiday. The Coed Y Brenin mountain biking centre is a few miles from the house. The house is just off National cycle route 82 which also links to the flat Mawdach cycle trail from Dolgellau to Barmouth. There are a number of great sandy beaches a short drive from the property. The most popular of which is Barmouth but other beaches nearby such as Fairbourne and black rock sands. There are so many great things to see and do nearby.
