Tucked under Butterhills’ wood and overlooking the stream meadow, this idyllic retreat is a year-round holiday destination. Just a minutes’ walk from your car, your luggage can be transported by wheelbarrow or four wheeled trolley. With plenty of space outside for dining and relaxing, there's a firepit for summer evenings under the stars and inside a cosy wood burner for snuggling up in the autumn and winter nights. You’re off-grid so no Wi-Fi and no mains electricity meaning a digital detox, time to disconnect from the busy outside world and reconnect with nature, yourself and your loved ones. There’s solar powered lighting throughout the Linhay and charging points plus a fridge-freezer in the barn by the parking area. Enjoy home comforts with a four-burner gas hob, small wood fired oven, hot water on demand, a spacious shower room and a flushing loo. The shower room is en suite and the open plan living area is thoughtfully arranged with space for a table and four chairs, a double futon sofa and rocking chair. The galley kitchen with its stunning slate worktop is well equipped with everything you’ll need for your self-catering holiday – there’s even scales and a loaf tin so you can try your hand at baking in the wood fired oven or cooking over the firepit. You are very welcome to explore the surrounding woodland and meadows at Butterhills. With lovely walks from your door, at the end of the wood you can pick up a public footpath to West Down where you’ll find the well stocked community shop and welcoming Crown Inn which is dog friendly and serves great food. The golden sandy beaches of Woolacombe, Putsborough and Saunton, where dogs are welcome all year round, are a few minutes’ drive away and stunning Exmoor National Park is close by too. Walk the Southwest coast path or take woodland and rural walks from your door.
