A shared outdoor swimming pool is an exceptional extra to the apartment during summer months, heated by solar panels and perfect for relaxing beside, it is definitely a pool with a view. The village of Llangrove is equidistant between the market towns of Ross-on-Wye and Monmouth, situated on the edge of the Forest of Dean and close to the Welsh Border. There is a wealth of history and interesting places to visit in this area, close by is Symonds Yat where Peregrine falcons may be seen nesting and the river Wye is spectacular for walking and sightseeing, or where the more adventurous can take a canoe trip. Goodrich castle overlooks the river a few miles away or visit the Forest of Dean and the Forest Heritage centre.
Trips may be enjoyed to the Cathedral city of Hereford where the world famous Mappa Mundi can be seen, travel along the river to Tintern Abbey immortalised by Wordsworth or further afield to Hay on Wye and the Black Mountains. There is so much to enjoy and experience here. Locally from the Hideout there are lovely country walks, a welcoming village pub within walking distance and there are varied restaurants and riverside pubs only a short drive away, the owners are also very happy to provide local information and recommendations. The Hideout is an outstanding base for a couple’s getaway to this wonderful part of the country.
