After a day of exploring the island, head to the sitting room with a well-deserved glass of wine and slump into one of the sofas with a book from the bookcase, in the winter months, flick on the electric fire and put on the television to escape with a binge-worth series on Netflix; the perfect end to a day of roaming the beautiful lands that surround you. Carry on through the village of Penbol and you will arrive at Llyn Alaw, Anglesey’s largest lake surrounded by woodland, two bird hides, and picnic sites perfect for enjoying the natural scenery. Within walking distance of the Cottage is the local Tavern, The Ring, Rhosgoch, offering good ale and excellent food, an ideal spot for a relaxed evening after a long walk, dogs are very welcome here! Just a short drive is Cemaes Bay with its beach and harbour, it makes an ideal spot to enjoy a dinner in the scenic settings as the sun goes down before taking a coastal walk to explore the nature of the area. For a day at the coast, head to the nearby town of Amlwch, hosting a lot of history around the mining industry, opportunities to get involved in the popular sports of fishing and golf, and award winning beaches, it’s a lovely area to spend a day trip.
