Our recently renovated Coach House is a detached, single storey, private and spacious self catering property. Designed specifically as dog friendly it offers a generous kitchen/dining room, reception/sitting room, one bedroom, luxurious shower room and private outdoor space within its own fenced garden.
Nestled between the Surrey Hills and the South Downs National Park on the Hampshire/Surrey border, the Coach House provides a peaceful and tranquil retreat in the country. Surrounded by National trust woodlands and commons, the area offers access to many outdoor spaces. Ideal for dog owners looking for a variety of walking options, or for relaxing and unwinding in the countryside.
Conveniently located close to the small village of Headley you’ll find a convenience store for supplies and newspapers, and a quaint cafe selling tasty homemade food and snacks. A dog friendly village pub, The Crown, is a ten minute stroll along the lane. Further a field there are a choice of gastro pubs, restaurants and farm shops.
Kitchen
The fully fitted kitchen incorporates the usual suspects... Electric oven, induction hob, microwave, fridge freezer, dishwasher, toaster, kettle, and a Dolce Gusto coffee machine.
On arrival we’ll set you up with a small amount of breakfast provisions, including; granola, yogurt, bread, jam, honey and marmalade along with some coffee capsules & assorted teas. Sugar and milk are also provided together with the essential kitchenware; pots, pans, plates, bowls, cutlery, utensils etc.
A glazed back door provide access to the patio and enclosed garden. The spacious kitchen allows plenty of room for the dogs to eat (and sleep) whilst owners can enjoy an informal meal on the farmhouse table. Alternative, you can use the generous dining room table - 'glam it up' with candles and dine in style.
The kitchen also provides sleeping options for your pups. Choices include; calming snuggle beds, raised beds or crates, just let us know your requirements prior to your stay.
There's plenty of space for hanging and drying those damp outdoor coats. A safety dog gate is installed should guests prefer to contain their dogs (wet) within the kitchen environment.
Sitting room/reception room
The sitting room area is a warming blend of aged 'patina finished timber' and contemporary soft furnishings. A cosy atmosphere is created by way of the thermostatically controlled electric radiators and for a truly atmospheric experience, fire-up’ the wood burning stove with the complimentary fire lighters, kindling and logs.
Nestle down with the pups, use the throws, snuggle cushions and beanbags to watch a movie. The smart TV provides Freely (free to view) and terrestrial catch-up Apps. For comprehensive viewing guests often bring their own fire sticks!
Bedroom
The bedroom provides a relaxing calm sanctuary and offers a king size bed with crisp Egyptian cotton linen, a dressing table. and useful bedside tables including a hair dryer. Storage for clothes, shoes and luggage are catered for within a full height wardrobe area. Please note, we operate a ‘paws on floors’ policy within the bedroom environment.
If required, the sitting room sofa can be converted into a large single sofa bed, again, the bedding is provided for this option.
The bedroom has views over our bespoke dog training area and the dog exercise paddock. This can be booked for use during your stay however it's subject to availability.
Shower room
Relax and restore after an action packed day with a luxurious powerful shower, warm fluffy towels and complimentary toiletries.
Outdoor space
There's a decent size outdoor space, perfect for happy canines and plenty of room on the patio for a morning coffee or an alfresco wine & dine experience. You can catch a glimpse of the countryside, enjoy listening to the sound of bird song and take comfort while knowing that your pups are safe within the fully enclosed garden.
You’ll be pleased to find a Mud Daddy in the garden store to wash away those trophies gained on their muddy outdoor romps.
A whole host of creature comforts
The Coach House is equipped with the usual mod cons… Smart TV, Chrome Cast, WIFI and a Sonos Music System. We provided internet access to the Coach House via our local network. If for some reason the internet fails or the network is slow, we can't be held liable.
Other things to note
Dog towels and dog bowls are provided together with a complimentary canine welcome pack.
Sorry but no dogs are allowed on the bed and no dogs to be left unattended in the property.
All dogs must be kept on leads whilst arriving and leaving the property.
Minimum booking...3 x Nights.
Self check-in is available.
No smoking, vaping or candles within the property.
The Coach House is easy to access it has its own private parking area for one car just outside the accommodation.
There are small level changes (two steps) within the accommodation making it unsuitable for wheelchair access.
Logs are supplied for the wood burner. If more are required then there is a £15 charge per basket.

During your stay why not indulge in a One2One dog training experience… Your host, Sue Cupitt, is a professional dog trainer and can offer on-site dog training sessions and workshops, including;
• Building relationships and enhancing bonds - Basic lead work, recall, heel work, placeboard work, and boundary games with the accent on fun for the hound & handler.
• An introduction to pet gun dog training - A great way to introduce dogs and handlers to the basic exercises for gun dog training. Heel work, whistle work, recall, marked retrieves and a stay as required in the field. Suitable for gun dog breeds.
• An introduction to scent work - An opportunity to stimulate your dogs mind and help build a real ‘working’ relationship between you and your dog. With an accent on fun it’s perfect for all breeds and ages.
• An introduction to Agility - An insight into agility. Introducing your dog to foot placement and body awareness, control and commands to compete a basic agility and obstacle course. Suitable for any breed, 2 years and older.
• Sensory Workshop - Learn how sensory fun activities are an empowering experience for all dogs. Engaging all of your dog’s senses will create focus, encourage calm, retain interest and provide the opportunity for your dog to make ‘free’ choices.
