The cottage is set over three-storeys and has been interior designed in a classic contemporary feel from top to bottom. You will find no clichéd seaside interiors here, just plenty of eclectic, tasteful cosiness, all testament to the owner and interior designer. The location of Meadow Corner couldn’t be better, literally seconds away from the stunningly beautiful Porthmeor beach, renowned for its soft sands, surfing and fabulous Tate gallery. It’s worth mentioning Porthmeor Café too, just around the corner and perfect for breakfast overlooking the beach or evening meal whilst watching the sunset from your very own heated outdoor pod. The cottage is on The Meadow and surrounded by quaint cobbled streets with such intriguingly quirky names as Virgin Street, The Digey, Teetotal Street and Fish Street, all a short meander away and perfectly mazey to safely get lost amongst. There is no risk of becoming lost for too long though as Downalong is surrounded by the clear turquoise waters of the Atlantic on three sides. The cottage itself has three-storeys with the front entrance opening on to the living room, especially lovely in the winter with log burning stove making the room invitingly cosy. Downstairs you will find the kitchen with more than enough of everything for two guests, including a wooden farmhouse table that would comfortably seat more. Upstairs is the bedroom where you will find a king-sized bed and plenty of indulgence with cosy throw, scatter cushions and quality bedding, and plenty of the cottage’s character evident with old beams and wood panelling. Off of the bedroom is the surprisingly spacious en-suite shower room with wc, basin and indulgent walk-in shower. To the front of the cottage is a bistro table and chairs, perfect for that al-fresco coffee in the mid-morning sunshine. One dog is welcome to stay with you at Meadow Corner, so those post luscious winter beach walks can be spent cosied up in front of the fire with your faithful four-legged friend. Perfect!
