Shortbread Cottage is a mid terraced property set in Newburgh and can accommodate two people offering one double bedroom, sleeping up to 2 people, a bathroom with shower over, basin and a WC. Completing the interior is a kitchen/diner and a sitting room. Outside, there is off-street parking and a n amazing secluded rear garden with deck, summerhouse, barbeque and separate picnic area. Shortbread Cottage is an elegant retreat for a couples holiday in Fife.

Amenities: electric central heating, electric oven and hob, washing machine, microwave, kettle, toaster, TV and Wi-Fi. All fuel, power, bedlinen and towels et cetera included in rent. Offstreet parking for two cars. Well-behaved pets are very welcome. (sorry, no smoking).

Newburgh is a Royal Burgh and parish of Fife, 20 miles from St Andrews with its fabulous dog-friendly west sands beach, and lying alongside the river Tay. Within the village you will find a superb selection of amenities and access to a number of attractions including Lindores Abbey distillery, the National Trust Balmerino Abbey, supermarket, pubs, cafes and tea shops.

The region is one of beautiful landscapes and countryside, including woodland walks suitable for dogs at Tentsmuir, Tayport, and around Loch Leven (where you can stop off for a scone or a three course meal at Loch Leven’s Larder). Scone Palace just north of Perth is about a half hours drive and has a full calendar of events and entertainments all year round as well as being the original home to the Stone of Destiny upon which all Scottish Monarchs have been crowned.
