Sea Urchins beach house is a luxury 2 bedroom 2 bathroom property accommodating up to 5 people plus 2 dogs at The Bay Filey Holiday Resort on the Yorkshire Coast.
Just a short stroll from an amazing dog-friendly beach, and with amenities on hand too, its ideal for adults, children and pets all year round.
Living area Enter through the side door into the hallway with coat and shoe storage and open plan living space. There’s a well-equipped kitchen with tall fridge-freezer, electric convection oven and hob, microwave, dishwasher and washer-dryer, and a dining table with seating for 5. In the front living area, you’ll find a new smart TV, sofa-chaise, and tub armchair. There are bifold doors onto the front deck. Bedrooms and bathrooms The main bedroom at the rear of the house has a kingsize bed with quality medium/firm mattress and new ensuite shower room. It is also fitted with a new smart TV. The second bedroom has new zip and link beds (twin, or king on request) with medium/firm mattresses. This too has a smart TV. This room has an ensuite shower room with jack-and-jill doors from the hallway too. If there are 5 guests, we also have a sofa-bed in the living room (optional extra). Outside The front deck has a cube table and chairs, and gets the morning sun, ideal for alfresco breakfast or morning coffee. The children can also play on the communal lawns at the rear of the neighbouring houses. We leave lots of toys and equipment in the store box near the side door. Parking The house has a driveway with space for 2 cars. Heating The house has gas central heating, electric towel rails in the bathrooms, and a log burner too. We do not supply logs. Accessibility The driveway/path sleepers can be uneven and slippery when wet and therefore this property may not be suitable for guests with mobility issues. Other things to note Free BT fibre wifi. The Property has lots of extras like a tassimo coffee machine, children's cutlery, clothes rack, iron and ironing board, hairdryer, first aid kit, lots of games (adults, families & kids) and beach equipment. Table tennis equipment and boules are also provided for use at the on site facilities. A travel cot and high chair are also available.

We have just come back from a short break at Sea Urchins Beach House. This two-bedroom property, with two ensuites, is beautifully presented and immaculately clean. It has all you might need to cook a meal and is roomy and very comfortably furnished. There is a big fridge-freezer, ideal if your dog has a raw diet. The site is immaculate and you can park right next to the house. There is a lovely decked area out the front, ideal for morning coffee in the sun or an evening drink as the sun goes down. Sea Urchins is close to the on-site amenities – gym, swimming pool (a pass is provided for these), takeaway and pub. The site is very dog-friendly, particularly the pub. The staff all made a fuss of Alfie and, when I commented to one member that he might bark, she said not to worry and that he was very welcome. One of the best things about Filey Bay is the easy access to an amazing beach, where your dog will find friends to play with. A short walk south takes you to Hunmanby Gap with a little café on the cliff, selling a range of drinks and snacks, including sausages for dogs. In the other direction it takes about 30 minutes to walk to Filey. Filey is a quiet, traditional seaside town, with seafront gardens and interesting shops and cafes, mainly dog-friendly. I would highly recommend a stay at Sea Urchins, in fact we are already planning a return visit with more family members next year, booking two beach houses.
