Two award winning 4 star gold cottages in a pretty rural village about 20 mins south of Chester in Cheshire very close to the Shropshire border. They are about one third of the way along the famous Sandstone Trail right by the National Trust’s Bickerton Hills. Fantastic walking from the gate. Lots of places to visit and a huge dog friendly shopping outlet 30mins away. Luxury one bed cottages with all mod cons , wood burning stove and EV charger. Enclosed garden, private lit parking, throws for the leather sofa, treats, towels and even a warm dog shower. The web site will give you more details, photos and reviews. Each cottage has comprehensive descriptions of bespoke walks, eating out and things to do all ready prepared for you.
The cottages both have well equipped kitchens, comfortable lounge/diners and quality bathrooms. Solid oak and tiled floors throughout.
You can look forward to bespoke wooden beds with quality mattresses, crisp white Cotton sheets and all super clean!
The sofas are leather and comfy, the fire warm and relaxing.
Outside relaxing in your own lovely enclosed garden comes easy.

Lovely cozy, dog friendly cottage. Ray & Jackie are wonderful hosts, very friendly and helpful. Great walks from the door, with a warm water hose for keeping the dog clean!! Would definitely recommend & visit again.

What a wonderful relaxing few days we have had in Bakers Cottage. From the cosy, home from home cottage including milk, tea and eggs to the beautiful vase of flowers and welcoming bowl of water waiting for our dog-our hosts Jackie and Ray had thought of everything. The cottage itself is so well equipped, exceptionally clean and very comfortable. It is a perfect base to explore the wonderful walks on the doorstep and so peaceful. There are so many interesting houses, gardens and castles to visit. We only went for a few days and were spoilt for choice! If you need to recharge and unwind, then this the place for you. There is even a very cute garden to enjoy your favourite tipple and for us dog owners the fact it is enclosed and a safe haven makes it even better! The local pubs are extremely dog friendly and the food excellent. We particularly loved The Lion at Malpas though parking maybe tight if you go later in the evening. Jackie and Ray made us and our dog so welcome and we will certainly be booking for next year

I had a delightful four night break in the spotlessly clean Baker's cottage. The attention to detail is amazing, tasteful decor, fantastically well equipped (despite the blurb saying that items have been kept to a minimum due to covid restrictions) and the bed is so comfy. The property is wonderfully dog friendly - Dexter enjoyed his complimentary fleecy dog throw, jar of treats and the heated dog wash was a god send for the muddy paws. We didn't need to use the doggy washing machine/drier but what a fantastic facility that is too. The location of the cottage is gorgeous, lovely views out over the sandstone trail, a great little village and fabulous walks right from the door. All in all I will be back.
