Rose View Cabin

Rose View Cabin is a cosy self contained holiday home within the grounds of Bridge House. We are located in the scenic Honddu Valley north of Brecon on the edge of the National Park. Perfect for the smaller family for holiday or short breaks any time of the year.

We understand how important it is to bring your dogs along on holiday with you. Being a multiple dog household ourselves, we welcome you and your companions at Rose View Cabin and it is a pleasure when we have the opportunity to meet them.

Our property is truly dog friendly and provides a safe secure garden as well as access to a public footpath leading to rural fields.

Overlooking woodland scenic views and nestled within an area of natural scientific interest, guests can access a network of public footpaths. It is ideal for those wanting to enjoy the quiet rural location but with easy access to all local amenities just 5 miles drive away from the local town of Brecon.

Rose View Cabin is a cosy self catering 2 bed accommodation. Sleeps 3/4 guests in two bedrooms both with en-suites.

We advertise 2 dogs, however, please contact us to discuss your requirements and we will try our best to accommodate you.

Dogs are welcome in all rooms but we ask that dogs do not go on human beds or bedding (even with throws or with your own bedding). We pride ourselves in providing good quality pillows, duvets & bed linen and wish to be able to continue to provide this for each guest.

Please clean up after your dog both inside and outside. Although we are delighted to say that the majority of our guests are incredibly respectful and go to great lengths to leave our cabin clean and tidy.

We provide lots of useful doggy items to make your stay easier in our doggy welcome pack, including dog towels, dog throws, spare bowls, poo bags and guest dog holiday tags. We are able to provide a medium & large dog crate on request.

Convenient secure parking and a safe level enclosed private garden with glorious field views.

When it comes to walks in the Brecon Beacons, you and your pup will be spoilt for choice in this dog friendly county. With so many open spaces to explore with miles of footpaths, acres of commons, impressive mountains and dazzling waterfalls walks, there's some wonderful places to explore on the doorstep.

Our Bridge House pups have found some fantastic places and we've hand picked our top walks where your pups can run, swim and play while you enjoy the views. See our website www.bridgehouseholidays.co.uk for more walk details.

There is also a public foot path and walking routes locally with a public footpath at the top of the adjoining field however, this needs to be used with respect to the farmer who often has sheep or cattle in the fields and dogs are requested to be kept on leads at those times.

Walking & Cycling

The Brecon Beacons and surrounding area provide some of the best walking, cycling and photography sites in the world. We can advise on where to visit and help assist with maps and gpx files . If you let us know of an area that you are interested in, we would be happy to help provide you find relevent walks or cycling routes to suit your ability.

The waterfalls are a must see and you are able to walk behind the most famous, Sgwd yr Eira, or aply named the snow waterfall.

Pen-Y-Fan is also a popular attraction being part of the 3 peaks challenge in the United Kingdom. It is worth making a full day trip and taking in some of the other peaks such as Fan-Y-Big.

Beaches

Access to the coastline of Wales is within easy reach. Most of the great beaches are dog friendly and clean. (Some beaches restrict dogs during the summer months so do please check first before visiting).

Our personal recommended Beaches and which we visit regularly are The Mumbles, Porthcawl, Aberystwyth, Saundersfoot, Ogmore-by-Sea and St Davids (UKs smallest City)

Star Gazing

Rose View Cabin is situated in an area where this is no light pollution. and even without a telescope you can get a fantastic view of the stars.

There is an hard-standing area outside of the cabin should you wish to bring a telescope. The Brecon National Park is an International Dark Sky Reserve, it became just the fifth destination in the world (and the first in Wales) to be accredited.
