Riverside House

On the River Thames, on the edge of the historic market town of Marlow, Riverside House is 4,500sq feet of luxury accommodation for up to 14 lucky guests! 

This magnificent home comprises several living areas, both inside and out! The first includes three large sofas in front of a set of patio doors, nestled around a coffee table and beside the huge TV. There is a dining table sandwiched perfectly between this area and the kitchen, creating a delightful open plan style for free-flowing conversation. The kitchen is a wonderfully modern masterpiece, with an enormous central island which doubles up as extra work-space for getting plenty of chefs involved at meal times, and as a breakfast bar for more casual meals and snacks throughout the day. With vast windows along the wall, the space is flooded with a warm, natural glow, mirroring the wall of patio doors on the far side. The kitchen is equipped with all the latest mod cons, so you can let your imagination run wild when it comes to meal times. A charming Orangery provides extra space for both dining and simply relaxing, with cosy sofas and chairs, and dazzles in the warmth of the sunshine through the glass roof and wall of patio doors. 

There are six bedrooms in total, four double-rooms and two twins, and each is as breath-takingly majestic as the last. We simply adore the huge, cosy beds with plush cushions and rugs throughout and all the blankets you could need for getting snug! The master suite is complete with a charming seating area for a little private relaxation or social time, and a vast TV nestled between two French doors! All four double rooms enjoy simply incredible private ensuite facilities, while the two twin rooms have a delightful Jack-and-Jill style ensuite, all of which have dazzling designs, including large showers, and some have double vanity sinks. 

Out in your expansive private garden you have a lovely lawn which stretched down to the banks of the River Thames, which you can admire from your living room! There is a lovely seating area with an umbrella on the patio, from which you can watch the boats which lazily meander down the river, and the many curious ducks which occasionally find their way into the garden for a little exploration. The garden is brimming with vibrant plants and flowers of all kinds, creating an enchanting sense of life and energy throughout! At the far end of the garden there is a second seating area, with cosy benches with cushions, where you can soak up the calm atmosphere and the natural ambience beside the river.  

Boats can be hired locally for enjoying your immediate river access, while you’re also ideally located for getting to both the Ascot and Windsor racecourses and the Henley Royal Regatta, as well as attractions including Windsor Castle, Wentworth Golf and the lovely town of Marlow. The village of Bray is home to two Michelin star restaurants, firstly the Roux brothers’ ‘Waterside Inn’ and, secondly, and Heston Blumenthal’s ‘The Fat Duck’ – both well worth a try!
