Read MoreGet away from it all with a visit to Polgwedhen Lodge which sits in its own secluded lakeside gardens. If you are looking for a tranquil and private Cornish retreat, you have found it!
Situated at the end of a private lane, surrounded by countryside, Polgwedhen is a delightful country retreat with everything you need to unwind and to make your stay relaxing and memorable.
This is not a holiday complex; Polgwedhen Lodge is one on its own. No passing traffic, no intrusion, just you and a wonderful natural habitat, home to a variety of wildlife. The gardens include camellias, rhododendrons, hydrangeas, massed spring bulbs and ornamental shrubs. A backdrop of mature trees includes copper beech, walnut, sycamore, wild cherry, ash and oak.
Inside the Lodge, the décor reflects the natural surroundings - restrained pastels, wood, vaulted ceilings, comfy cushions and throws. You have a fully equipped open plan kitchen/comfortable living area, double bedroom with a romantic, handmade four-poster bed, shower room/wc, all warm and cosy; an idyllic private location- what more could you want?
There is a barbecue for your use, and eating al fresco or just sitting out on the veranda or sun loungers, watching the wildlife on the water and enjoying the peace is a delight.
Further afield, both the north and south coast beaches and cliffs are within easy reach, and many beaches are dog friendly. The Great Gardens of Cornwall, are not to be missed especially in the spring, and the county boasts a wide variety of other interesting attractions. Cornwall has become a well known foodie destination and many pubs and restaurants welcome well behaved dogs.
The Lodge is well equipped for a cosy, comfortable stay in all seasons, and is open all year round.
Polgwedhen Lodge is looked after by the owners who are looking forward to meeting with you and your dog, and to ensuring your stay is as pleasant as possible.
