Number One Seagate

Our gorgeous detached holiday home sleeps four people in two bedrooms to comfortably accommodate couples, families and friends. Number One Seagate is a single storey property which sits behind a high wall with enclosed courtyard to the front and landscaped garden to the rear. 

LIVING SPACE:
Spacious living room with solid floors and a contemporary log burner for cold weather (we supply plenty of well seasoned logs). In summer, you can throw open the French doors and enjoy the sunny garden, even relaxing into the evening around the fire pit. There is a 50-inch Smart TV, choice of board games, and BOSE music system to keep you entertained.

KITCHEN / DINING SPACE:
The Scandi-style kitchen is exceptionally well-equipped with all the appliances and utensils you'll need for a self-catering stay, including a full size dishwasher and a large American fridge/freezer. The dining area within the kitchen comfortably sits four people. 
The utility space has a washer/dryer and cleaning facilities.

BEDROOMS:
Bedroom One has a king-size modern four poster bed and views of the courtyard and the woodlands of Sewerby Hall beyond. There is proper storage so you can unpack and feel at home. 
Bedroom Two has zip and link beds that can either be two full-sized (3ft-wide) single beds or one super-king bed. 
We use hotel quality bedlinens throughout to ensure you have a perfect night sleep. 

BATHROOM:
Beautiful, luxurious bathroom with a sleek rainfall shower, underfloor heating, a WC and a hand-basin.

OUTSIDE:
The house is fully enclosed with a large sunny courtyard the front and garden to the rear. There is a charcoal barbecue and fire pit to keep you cosy while you enjoy an evening watching the stars. A garage provides secure storage for bicycles, paddle-boards and kayaks, and you'll find deckchairs, buckets, spades and other beach essentials. There is off-street parking for one car, with free parking available on the road around 30 metres from the gate.

A highchair is available. Guests to provide beach towels. One or two well-behaved dogs are welcome through prior arrangement (no additional charges). Smoking and vaping are not permitted. We do offer a Blue Light Card discount of 5% off any stay. 

Our minimum stay is 3 nights. Check-in days are normally Friday and Monday although we aim to be as flexible as you need, particularly outside of the main holidays. Always get in touch and we'll aim to meet your needs. 

THE AREA:
The charming conservation village of Sewerby is located in the East Riding of Yorkshire. It's a peaceful spot but you're within easy reach of places to eat, drink and shop for groceries. Sewerby Hall and Gardens is a few steps from the gate, with 50 stunning acres of woodland trails for walking and exploring, beautiful gardens and - always a favourite with the kids - a zoo! All our guests have access to our unlimited passes (free entry for up to 2 adult and 2 children). There's a full calendar of events including tours of the house, the very popular open air cinema evenings, car shows and other fun activities. You can walk to Flamborough to build up an appetite for fresh crab, straight off the boats at stunning North Landing. Use the house binoculars to check out the wildlife at RSPB Bempton Cliffs - from March to October you can see puffins, gannets and many other sea birds along with porpoise and the occasional whale. 

Number One Seagate is a perfect base for exploring the Yorkshire Coast. Popular day trips for guests include Flamborough, Bridlington, Filey, Scarborough and Whitby. Inland, you have easy access to the bustling market towns of Malton (the Yorkshire Food Capital), Beverley and Driffield plus of course York. For a day of tranquillity and following the path less travelled, head to the unspoilt Yorkshire Wolds for some fabulous walking and cycling.
