Close to Cornwall’s wild north coast and the granite tors of Dartmoor and Bodmin, North Beer Lodge is an oasis of rural peace, luxury and tranquillity. This super dog-friendly retreat - where there is no limit to the number of size of dogs - is a perfect place to get close to nature and explore this unique and unspoilt part North Cornwall.
Read MoreMade from British-grown cedar and built by the experts at British Log Cabins, the passion that their craftsmen have for their trade is visible in the wonderful structures they create. North Beer Lodge, with its totally private hot tub, is pure luxury in landscape with views over Dartmoor all designed for your peace and tranquillity. North Beer Lodge is a unique building. The logs are truly magnificent in their dimension. The height of the vaulted ceiling is certainly a ‘wow factor’ with its statement lighting and internal logwork. The roof is local slate with a flat sedum roof over the boot room. There are two bedrooms, both with en-suite bathrooms and a large, open plan living area complete with wood burner and smart TV. The best, however, is the view from the bifold lounge windows leading onto decking where you can see Dartmoor on a clear day. The setting is glorious, in a field where sheep and lambs graze and rest under a variety of well-established trees, oaks, copper beach and others. The grounds of the lodge are largely put to grass and surrounded by a stock proof fence which is designed not to obstruct the view and the feeling of being deep in nature. This does mean that we are able to accept dogs - and you can relax knowing that your pets are safe. We have no restriction on size or number of dogs. EV charging is available along with plenty of room for parking several cars. Heated throughout with underfloor heating the lodge is cosy at all times of the year. Passing through the well-equipped kitchen to the boot room, where there are robes and towels for guests, the door opens onto the garden revealing a totally private hot tub where, at night, views of the Cornish dark sky can be seen. After a day’s exploring, plug your car or your bike in to charge up, step outside through the boot room with its sedum roof, pick up a towelling robe and a glass of bubbly and head into the wooden hot tub available through the seasons. The hot tub area is perfectly secluded and is positioned so that you can enjoy the views and the sunsets. The outdoor area is totally enclosed so no need to worry about your furry companions.
