The Marina - River Breeze, River Retreat, River Rest, River Bay Set on the water’s edge at Brundall, Norfolk Broads, our newly renovated and refurbished (2022/2023) lodges are set in a peaceful location in a marina just off the main River Yare. These delightful, detached holiday lodges are comfortably furnished throughout with well-equipped, fitted kitchens. Their living room doors open onto the sun verandah and each lodge boast's it's own private garden with seating furniture right at the waters edge, ideal for relaxing in, soaking up the sun and for the front lodges, watching the boats pass by getting to and from the main river. All have Wi-Fi access. There is private quay headed mooring for a motor launch, and this location is good for fishing. We have 2 lodges x sleeps 4 & 2 lodges x sleeps 6 in the marina, all with plenty of parking - please see website for individual details.

Main River: 

River View is situated in a wonderful riverside position on the banks of the River Yare in the popular village of Brundall. This charming riverside property is perfect for a family, friends or couples on a romantic getaway. The property sleeps 4 people in one double bedroom and 1 twin bedroom. There is a large decking area overlooking the river, ideal for sitting out and enjoying the views and the sunset is spectacular. Fishing is available from the decking at the bottom of the garden (in season - rod license required) and there is private quay headed mooring for your own boat. Slipway access is on request at our marina just down the road!

Nature's Nook is our brand new build (Finished April 2023) with a timber interior set on the banks of the River Yare. It features 1 double room and a second bedroom with a small double / single bunk bed. Suitable for 4 plus 1 child. Nature's Nook boasts gorgeous views of the river and there is private quay headed mooring for your own boat. Slipway access is on request at our marina just down the road! 

New for Christmas 2023 is our flagship holiday lodge - Ferry Lodge. 3 bedrooms with king ensuite, double and a bunk with single over double. It features a large bathroom with walk in shower. Ferry Lodge is timber interior, open plan with a cosy yet spacious feel and 2 double doors overlooking the decked 2 tier terrace and those gorgeous river views. Coldham Hall pub is just across the river - bring your own kayaks, paddleboards or boats to pop across. 

All lodges have a bait fridge for the fishing guests.

Our lodges are located in the village of Brundall, the centre for boat building and boat hire, shop, post office, mini-market, hairdresser, pizza and chinese takeaway, fish and chips shop, fine restaurant and local pubs all serving good food. There is also railway station 0.4 miles from the lodges - Be in Norwich within 10 minutes and at the beach in Great Yarmouth in 25 minutes!

Brundall is a perfect location for a river-based holiday. Activities locally are boat hire, fishing, nature reserve & walks. The village is within walking distance with quaint pubs, restaurants, takeaways, supermarket and shops. For a much larger selection, hop on the train into the beautiful city of Norwich or head to the beach in Great Yarmouth. An ideal touring base with Great Yarmouth easily accessible by car or train. The surrounding seaside towns and villages of Gorleston-on-Sea, Hemsby, Caister-on-Sea, Winterton, California, Newport and Hopton-on-Sea, all offering entertainment for a family holiday, as well as the pretty Broadland villages and countryside can be explored by car. RSPB reserve at Strumpshaw Fen, 3 miles. Norfolk’s finest sandy beaches are 12 miles.

Also accessible by train is the fine city of Norwich only 8 miles away, with its excellent shopping, theatre, restaurants, inns, cafés, castle and museum.

For fun-filled family days out there is Thrigby Hall Wildlife Gardens with a renowned collection of Asian mammals and birds; you will also find reptiles in the pleasantly landscaped gardens. Close by, the village of Strumpsham has a steam museum, and Reedham offers Pettitts Animal Adventure Park. BeWilderwood and Pleasurewood Hills are close by too! With such a great location in tranquil surroundings but with so much in the area, your holiday can be as active or laid back as you want it to be.

The variety of fish on the Broads include: pike, carp, eel, bream, roach, trench, perch and rudd. A fishing licence is required, this can be purchased online via the Environment Agency. Fishing available during open season. Closed season is between 14th March - 16th June. Bait fridge at each holiday lodge.
